Location

Seeonee Lair is located in the hamlet of Kettleness that comprises a few cottages and a couple of farms. It has lovely open sea views, being perched upon the cliff tops. This part of the East Coast is the highest and forms part of the northern coastal boundary of the North York Moors National Park. Its map reference is 832156.

The Cleveland Way long-distance footpath runs through Kettleness and may be used to explore the rugged coastline. Kettleness is about six miles from the fishing port of Whitby, 20 miles from Teesside and 30 miles from Scarborough. Please note that, due to landslides, there is no access to Kettleness beach.
